As part of the "Let's consume local" approach, the Maarifa organization organized a fair dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship in local production. This initiative aims to promote local products while supporting communities affected by war and disasters related to climate change.
Selected as a support structure for young people and children who have survived these crises, Shujaa Initiative actively participated in this event with its project "Mtoto apana Askari". This project is designed to support displaced young people in developing entrepreneurial skills, thus enabling them to build a better future despite the challenges they face.
During the fair, participants had the opportunity to discover a variety of local products, resulting from the hard work of young entrepreneurs. Shujaa Initiative presented stands highlighting the creations and initiatives of the young people it supports. The objective was not only to promote local consumption, but also to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable development, without harming the environment.
It should be added that the Shujaa Initiative organization plans educational sessions on the importance of the environment and natural resources, as well as discussions on peace and social cohesion.
“We strongly believe that local entrepreneurship can play a key role in rebuilding communities,” said a representative of Shujaa Initiative.
